Trend USA is pleased to announce the installation of a new automated cutting and beveling machine at its Sebring, Florida, plant. This new state-of-the-art piece of equipment will help the company keep up with the growing demand for its best selling Trend Terrazzo, used by architects and designers all over the world.
While the new automated cutting and beveling line is 300 feet long, Trend USA re-designed its flow, and converted it into a U-shape configuration, so it can be managed with fewer checkpoints.
Mr. Livio Magni, Director of production, oversaw the installation of the new equipment: “It will take us a few months to fully understand the impact of the line to our total output, but from what we know, we should be able to add an additional 8,000 square feet to per shift, almost right away”.
Trend Terrazzo was a virtually unknown in 2001, but since there are been an steady increase, yearly, in the number of projects featuring this unique material. Marcello Becchi, Director of Business Development: “Our material is unique. No other company makes something remotely close to what we manufacture in our Sebring plant. It is the only place in the world, where Trend Terrazzo is made. We are MADE IN SEBRING, and from Sebring we ship all over the world”.
