Hello everybody! I’m Carrie Sommers, proud wife of Jeff’s for the last 22 years. You see the wedding photo of that really cute girl and Jeff under “our story”? That’s me! Jeff and I started ESP Painting together in 1996. He did all the heavy lifting and hard work. I took care of the phones and books – computers were rare back then.
In 2001, I faded into the background and was lucky enough to be able to stay home and raise our 2 kids full-time. Occasionally, I would fade back in to help out with the company in the office when it was needed. I’m very proud to tell you that our children are now mostly grown.
Our oldest, Brendan, just turned 21! He has been going to college to finish his paramedic degree. His end-goal is to become a fireman! He interned for 2 years for the Banks Fire Department and now volunteers for them on a regular basis. During the summer, he fights forest fires with Smokey the Bear in southern Oregon. He snowboards and mountain bikes any chance he gets. He definitely is an adrenaline junkie just like his dad.
Our daughter, Megan, is 16 and a junior in high school. She volunteers at the local hospital every week and loves photography. She is our studious child and is really concerned about getting her college application just right! We have been visiting many colleges across the United States. She will graduate high school with her CNA so she can work while going to college to become a Nurse Midwife.
Now it is time for me to rejoin the company full-time and take my rightful place standing next to Jeff and helping him run our company. My favorite place to be. I’m more excited this time to help run the office. I have age and wisdom to guide you now. I know, together as a team, Jeff and I will provide you with the best painting experience possible!
