DeTommaso Law Group is pleased to announce the firm has hired John J. Hays II, Esq. Mr. Hays is joining the well-respected domestic and matrimonial law firm that has been named a “New Jersey Super Lawyer.”
For Mr. Hays, family law is a natural fit. By joining the DeTommaso Law Group in 2017, he will further hone his skills at the practice, while pursuing his passion. Hays shares the firm’s mission of providing clients with a variety of legal options to help them dissolve their divorces in the most beneficial manner for themselves and families. Additionally, Hays is trained in the Collaborative Practice method to represent New Jersey divorce clients.
After graduating from Rutgers University in 2005, Hays went to the Boston University School of Law. While in law school, he volunteered with Legal Services, where he provided services to underserved communities in Boston. Additionally, Hays worked for the Boston University Civil Litigation Clinic. Passionate about the environment, as well as justice, Hays was a founder of the non-profit, non-governmental Boston University Chapter of Earthrights International.
Once Hays graduated from law school in 2008, he completed a one-year Judicial Clerkship with New Jersey Superior Court Judge John J. Coyle, Jr. For the following three years, Hays worked at a law firm in Somerset County.
