Flying Nurses International, a medical escort company that utilizes commercial airlines for the transport of ill or injured clients, was invited to participate in the ShippingInsight Inc. Maritime Conference held in Stamford, Connecticut, on October 15-17, 2019.

Dana Erskine-Pando, COO of Flying Nurses International, spoke about Safety and Health at Sea. Along with Erskine-Pando, the other distinguished panelists included the ship’s Captain/President of Organization of Black Maritime Graduates, the Director of Business Development for FIKE, a fire suppression management company, the ship’s Captain/Vice President of Fleet Management Limited and the military and family caregiver Subject Matter Expert/CEO of WiseHealth Inc.

Every individual who spoke at the event discussed a different area relating to the safety and care of crew members aboard seafaring vessels. They focused on data relating to suicide attempts and successful suicides, as well as the effects of social isolation among these individuals. Flying Nurses International is pleased to assist in these situations, providing transportation to crew members who may be injured or fall ill while out at sea.
