Matt Dixon began his journey in the financial industry by studying at Utah State to become a Certified Financial Planner. Since then, he has gained more experience and credentials including his RFC designation from the IARFC. This designation demonstrates his ethics approval and his professional leadership in the field. Also, he has been an educator to the public for over three years. Teaching financial responsibility is more than a job to Matt, but also a deeply held passion. In addition to his education programs, he also appears on a radio show and local news station regularly, sharing his expertise with the community.

As an extension of his passion for retirement planning, Matt penned his latest book, RITE (Retirement Income Tax Exempt). He refers to retirement as “the new unemployment” because he has found that many people find themselves at retirement age without the proper resources. His main purpose is to encourage his readers to plan carefully and early to avoid having a financially stressful retirement. The book outlines strategies and insights which have proven successful for reaching retirement goals.
Presently, TruNorth has three locations serving clients in Greenville, Seneca, and Asheville. Matt and his team generally begin the retirement planning process with an in-person consultation. A consultation allows for the TruNorth team to get to know a client and their goals as well as where they are presently with their finances. After consulting with a client, Matt creates a custom plan using a variety of financial strategies and products to help the client be positioned to reach their retirement aspirations.
