December 15, 2016 Hortonville, Wisconsin: JBC Machine, one of the longest standing prototype machine shops in northern Wisconsin, is excited to announce the addition of a new Tsudakoma RBA-250R rotary table to their Hardinge Bridgeport Conquest V1000 vertical machining center. The table features a large-bore, 10-inch chuck and tailstock. This fully programmable 4th axis replaces the existing SMW indexer. By adding a second 4th axis, they are now able to machine multiple surfaces with fewer setups saving operators huge amounts of time. Complicated machining such as angular features and holes as well as spirals and augers can now be completed with ease.
This improved efficiency and expansion of capabilities comes as part of JBC’s commitment to better serve its customers by staying on the leading edge of technology and equipment. These upgrades, in conjunction with the additional training on the new equipment, will allow JBC’s machinists to complete projects in less time and with greater precision.
