Tempe, AZ: Molded Devices Inc. (MDI), a full service contract manufacturer & custom molder headquartered in Tempe, AZ, with additional facilities across North America, announced the acquisition of Piedras Negras, Mexico-based Hamar/GIC, located approximately 200 miles south of San Antonio, Texas.
Hamar/GIC currently serves a number of Fortune 100 customers with value-add assembly services. Plans call for Hamar/GIC to expand its capabilities into blow molding and injection molding in the near term.
The Hamar/GIC operations will continue to be led by Gabriel Bustamante, a highly talented, degreed engineer from Texas A&M University. Mr. Bustamante has overseen the success of Hamar/GIC for over 20 years and is a welcome addition to the MDI family.
