When the popular MythBusters television team needed reliable and stable marine transportation to deliver test boats to the water during a recent experiment, a HOSTAR Marine hydraulic trailer was used to get the job done right.
For the episode “Blow It Out the Water,” MythBusters needed a safe, efficient means of moving and launching a boat. They called on a loyal HOSTAR customer and boatyard owner, John Derrick, Jr. of Derrick Marine Services, who used his HOSTAR GS3800T to handle this project. As MythBusters host, Jamie Hyneman, is setting up the experiment and explaining what will happen, both the GS3800T trailer and John Derrick, Jr. can be seen guiding the boat as it is lifted with a crane.
