Spring Grove Cemetery, through its Spring Grove Cremation Society now offers ossuary placement for cremated remains. This form of communal inurnment is an affordable option for the permanent placement of ashes. The ashes are put in biodegradable containers and then placed in ground, which ultimately returns them to the earth.
Spring Grove Cemetery has committed a beautiful communal area for the permanent placement of ashes from its Cremation Society. “We are the only cremation society that includes this offer as part of its basic service, said Gary Freytag CEO of Spring Grove Cemetery. “Our ossuary offers a simple and low cost option for families who are uncertain where to place their loved one’s ashes.” He also noted that ashes inurned in this fashion become part of the permanent historical records of Spring Grove Cemetery, but they are not recoverable.
