Deerfield, Illinois, November 9, 2015: Starland is pleased to announce they are hosting a “Thank a Hero” event on November 16, 2015, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. This event will take place right outside the Starland facilities.
“Thank a Hero” is open to everyone! At the event, kids will get the opportunity to meet firefighters and explore a real fire truck. If you are part of one of our classes including the Trucks, Trains & Trikes class for children ages 2-1/2 to 3-1/2 or Super Hero Bootcamp for children ages 3-1/2 to 4-1/2, we know your kid will love this event. The cooking classes at Starland are also preparing a special treat to thank the firefighters for their service to the community.
In addition to meeting firefighters and exploring the trucks, those in attendance will enjoy plenty of photo opportunities. They will also have the opportunity to make cards for the special heroes in their lives. The event is designed to thank local firefighters for all they do for the local community, while further enriching the lives of our students though fun activities.
