Many people come away from a trip to Southeast Asia with a taste for the spice and flavour-rich cuisine. The rich Thai curries, hot pho from Vietnam, and flavourful Cambodian spiced soups waft from open doorways and food markets there, and many lifelong devotees of this delicious and unique food emerge from their first trip to this diverse stretch of land.
Lucky for us here in Noosa, we don’t need to travel quite so far. The Noosa Boathouse is pleased to announce, that as a part of the Brisbane Times Good Food Month of 2016, we will hosting an Asian street-style cuisine market, on July 17th, afloat at the Noosa Boathouse.
This unique setup allows you to experience the sights, tastes, and smells of an Asian market meal, while enjoying the riverside views of the Noosa Boathouse. Our renowned staff will be on hand, manning the bar and ensuring your comfort and enjoyment of the venue, while our noted chef Shane Bailey serves up some stunning cuisine, influenced by this striking area.
An internationally-renowned connoisseur, Bailey began his career in Victoria. After a stint abroad honing his craft in New York and London, Bailey settled in Noosa. A multi-talented tour de force, we are particularly excited to experience his unique take on this cuisine.
For $49 each, you can eat your way through a ‘food passport’, each dish representing a particular region. Complete with some relaxed afternoon live music and the seaside atmosphere of Noosa, you are guaranteed of a relaxing and fulfilling afternoon of sensual enjoyment.
At Noosa Boathouse, we enjoy providing an atmosphere for events such as these. We create a motif that matches the guests and the event we are hosting, and we take great pleasure in seeing our guests leave with smiles on their faces.
